  • Do we do free consultations?

Yes, we offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. These are scheduled for either the same day or later in the week. We do ask that the individual who is seeking the consultation call the office at their scheduled date and time.

We also offer 30 to 45-minute virtual consultations. We charge a $150 fee for the consult, which includes a document review. Documents should be emailed to the office prior to your scheduled consultation. Virtual consults are conducted by Microsoft Teams unless another platform is specifically requested. Consultation fees must be paid 24 hours prior to the scheduled consultation. An invoice will be emailed ahead of time.

In addition, for virtual and phone consultations, we offer a 45-minute in-office consultation which includes a review of all documents including but not limited to petitions, summons, prior orders, decisions, and judgments. Calculations will be conducted involving child support and spousal maintenance. In-person consultations are $300 and must be paid for and confirmed 24 hours ahead of time.

  • How much does an uncontested divorce cost?

At the Law Office of Kelley M. Enderley, PC., we define an uncontested divorce as when both parties want to be divorced and have already agreed on how they are going to divide up their assets, including the marital residence, personal property, bank accounts, investment accounts, and retirements. They will have also come to an amicable agreement regarding child support, spousal support, and child custody.

A divorce of this nature is a $2,500 flat fee retainer. This includes two drafts of a settlement agreement. If both parties do not agree and sign the second draft of the settlement agreement, then the matter is no longer considered an uncontested divorce, as defined by this office, and an hourly rate is charged.

There are additional filing fees for matrimonial actions. Those fees are paid directly to the county. The fee schedule for filing fees in Dutchess County Clerk’s office: https://www.dutchessny.gov/Departments/County-Clerk/County-Clerk.htm

It is impossible for us to accurately advise just how long your case will take from beginning to end. It is always our goal to guide you through the process and the workings of the court system.
