Tip of the Week

When to update your attorney with new information:

Don’t wait until you schedule an appointment to update your attorney with new information related to your case. If your attorney utilizes e-mail, send them an e-mail with the new information in a bullet point format. If you attorney needs additional information they will follow up with you. This way the attorney has the information and can determine if it will be helpful to your case or not. If your attorney does not engage in e-mail book a periodic appointment with your attorney to update them on what has been currently occurring. Remember don’t always wait for your attorney to call you for an appointment. Most attorneys expect you to keep them updated on new and changing information otherwise they will continue to rely on the same information that they were previously given.
