Traffic citations pull New York bus drivers off the job

When a person needs a clean driving record for their job, a traffic violation can be devastating. Not only can it result in lost wages, but it can make it difficult for a person to seek new employment or get promoted if they are currently employed.

Recently, bus drivers in New York have been repeatedly cited for alleged violations, including using cell phones behind the wheel, running red lights and even taking one hand off the wheel to wave to another driver. These violations might not seem severe, but some drivers were pulled off the road and suspended for days, losing pay, and putting their careers in jeopardy.

Many of the bus drivers have had to fight the citations and damaged career record with their employers. Being curteous to other drivers on the road by waving to another driver shouldn't result in a citation or a person being taken of the road.

If someone receives a traffic violation, they might be wise to speak with an experienced attorney who has experience handling traffic citation issues. They can review a person's case and work to get a fine reduced or taken off a person's driving record all together.

When a person receives a citaiton, they not only face fines and a damaged reputation, but they could see insurance costs increase. These costs can result in hundreds of more dollars in premiums each year. An attorney can help the person understand their case and work to limit the effects of a citation.
