If you engage in text messages or other forms of electronic communication with your child’s other parent keep a copy of these messages. They may be useful for your attorney to determine what occurred on the day in question. Due to the use of smart phones many courts have become reliant on text messages and e-mails to determine what may or may not have occurred between parties at an alleged event.
