If you are nervous about being in court it is always ok to bring a friend for emotional support. Whether you are appearing in Family Court or a Criminal Court sometimes waiting to hear about the unknown is the most stressful part. Having a friend with you can make the stress more manageable and let you have a second pair of ears and eyes to help you understand what your lawyer is doing and what is occurring in the courtroom.
