    Always remember to provide your attorney with requested documents as soon as possible. Many times an attorney may have a time limitation on when documents must be provided. If the time/date to provide documents is missed you might not be able to utilize those documents during court proceedings.     Before you file for child support, it is always a good idea to have your prior years financial records (W-2, 1099, etc) available for either your attorney or the Court. Having these documents ready before you file will save time and hopefully make your court case less stressful.
